Hi, I’m Anthony Phillip Whitaker, and I’m originally from Bolton Abbey. I am incredibly passionate about my business, work and clientele and I have worked hard over many years to establish a professional brand; combining a variety of skills and excellent work ethic. I have a large customer base in Addingham, Ilkley, Skipton and the surrounding area and I believe I’ve built fantastic customer relationships, where people always recommend me to others. I started my business (APWhitaker Building and Landscaping) in 2009, so I have over 10 years of experience and my job has allowed me to demonstrate a range of trades, from fencing and driveways to dry stone walls and garden landscaping.

From growing up in a farming family, I am used to a hard day's ‘graft’ and this allows me to run my own plant equipment for those larger jobs, that may require diggers, trailers and tractors. The main skill I acquired from being a farmer’s son was my interest and expertise for dry stone walling. What started off as a young boy's hobby, is now a key part to my growing business. I am qualified to level two in dry stone walling, have competed in many competitions in well-established country shows; regularly winning 1st prize trophies and had the honour of working alongside a master craftsman.

This skill has recently allowed me to travel as far afield as America completing large projects and offering lots of opportunities to expand my skill set.

Having had lots of experience, I am an incredibly creative person with lots of ideas and pride myself on being able to visualise the best options and, in terms of landscaping, the best ways to utilise space to its full effect. I am happy to help customers from the design process all the way through to job completion. I have a very realistic approach to budgeting and will always share this with my customers to ensure full customer satisfaction.
